![]() ![]() Stay tuned for Before and After photos, but in the mean time check out this video I made for Instagram where I apply the Light-Medium shade. Rare Beauty Positive Light Under Eye Brightener Application Video & Swatches ![]() If you’re in the market for a concealer, make sure you check out my Best Concealers blog post. It's also airy, comfortable, and stays on pretty well throughout the day. This lipstick creates a soft matte finish but also really hydrates your lips with ingredients like sunflower oil. If I have further observations I’ll update here, but let me know if you have any questions. This is one of Rare Beauty's newer offerings, and it doesn't disappoint. It works really well to keep the undereye area nice and hydrated and lasted well without settling into my fine lines. This means that I can wear it alone, unlike many brighteners or corrector which require a layer of concealer over the top to balance out the undertones. The shade I like the best is Light-Medium, which has pink undertones, but just enough to neutralise discolouration around my eyes without looking too pink. I lightly tap it into the skin and it melts in effortlessly.Ī small amount of product gives a lovely brightening and lifting effect, and I feel happy to skip a heavier concealer. It is light and liquidy, yet feels nicely hydrating and smoothing on the skin. The texture of the Rare Beauty Positive Light Under Eye Brightener is lovely. Often, less is more when it comes to the undereye area, so the small dots of product that are dispensed with this application method are ideal. I find this really important because often the biggest problem I have with concealers is when the doe-foot applicator dumps on too much product right at the start. Whilst I don’t use it to blend, it does feel cool on the skin as you tap it on, but what I like the most is that the small top is really great for dosing the right amount of product. At first I thought it was a bit gimmicky but I’m actually a fan of it. I am enjoying this product because I actually really like the cool tip metal applicator which is a pretty unique feature for a concealer product. The Concealer formula has a medium buildable coverage and a radiant, skin-like finish and can cover blemishes, dark circles, redness, fine lines and more and whilst it is creamy and hydrating, it lasts all day long and is sweat-resistant too. Again the packaging is very aesthetically pleasing, and is a plastic bottle with a very unique shaped applicator - I have never seen an applicator like it, but I really love it - it is angled and so you can carve out the brows, apply to smaller areas and of course conceal undereye circles with it. As with the Foundation, there are 48 shades of the Concealer available, and so I think if/when Rare Beauty comes to the UK, you are really going to be able to choose a perfect match for both. I currently have fair to light skin, and the shade 140C works well for me now, but come Summer, I would definitely have to go for a deeper shade.įor the Rare Beauty Liquid Touch Brightening Concealer(£34.95 for 7.5ml), I also opted for the same shade 140C, as again because I didn't know the formula, I didn't wait to go too far or too dark. I found that this evened out my skin tone really well and didn't clog my pores at all, but instead smoothed them out and the formula lasted all day without disappearing into the skin or transferring. The formula is lightweight and dries down to a natural, skin-like finish so it isn't heavy or cakey, and I like the fact that it is buildable, so if I want something a little lighter one day and more full coverage the next, I can do that with this product. The Foundation comes in a plastic frosted bottle and has a doe-foot applicator similar to the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer, which is so quick and easy for applying the product onto the skin. I didn't want to go too pink or yellow because I didn't know the formula. The Rare Beauty Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation (£42.00 for 30ml) is available in 48 shades, which I find incredible for a brand new beauty brand! As I clearly had to take a gamble, I chose the shade 140C, which is for light skin with cool beige undertones. ![]()
