The experience extends to our bar and rooftop lounge, internationally inspired and locally driven, and specialty coffees at the greenhouse-inspired Caf. I've enjoyed going to multiple restaurants of theirs, this has been by far the WORST experience I've had at ANY restaurant. Fine dining at our downtown Chicago hotel begins at Torali, a modern Italian steakhouse restaurant favoring handmade pastas and dry-aged meats. I'm honestly so disappointed at the level of disrespect and LACK of customer service from this establishment, not only because it's located somewhere as prestigious as the Water Tower Place but for being part of the chain Lettuce Entertainment. My children were not only disappointed but wondering what we did for them to behave they way they did. Rather than explaining that fact, ALL the employees in the back went on to mock, laugh, and even used belligerent language at me for wanting to make a last minute purchase- all within ear shot of my young children. Mind you, there's no schedule posted to indicate they were closing. Much worse, after my kids finished their burgers I wanted to buy they ice cream. When the server finally came out, there was no hello nor a smile, just a flat "what do you want". Not only was nobody present when we walked in, (you could hear the employees in the back and see one at the grill) but when the employee at the grill saw me she couldn't even be bothered to address me and ask me to wait a minute, instead she told her co-worker I was there but went on to their conversation and laughing.
